Academic Pathway
I achieved my undergraduate degree in 'Optometry and Vision Sciences' in 2002 from the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, and was granted my MPhil in 2006, from The University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. I returned to the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal to continue my research and was awarded my PhD doctorate in October 2011. From March 2011 to July 2012 I was a Lecturer and from August 2012 to August 2013 I was a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Vision and Hearing Sciences, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK.
Currently I am an Auxiliary Professor (Assistant Professor) at the Department of Physics , University of Minho, Braga, Portugal.
